Designing and installing the latest AV technology into a historic building is a complex and difficult task. The Hungarian Competition Authority, constructed in 1869, was restored to add a conference room, meeting rooms and a completely refurbished Competition Council chamber.
Krisztián Tolvaj, representing Galax Kft, worked closely with the planners and interior designers, the Authority and the product suppliers from the start to ensure that all technical details were considered. Audio, visual and data transmission equipment with integrated control systems were installed into each room as required.
The Competition Council chamber design incorporates Accuride’s Ascent mechanical screen lifts (CBLift-0019) to access the monitors. The aesthetic appearance and usability of the room is important and, when not in use, the screens can be pushed back into the desktops to be completely hidden. The mechanical lift does not require electrical power, and is quite compact, making it ideal for integration into the minimalistic desks.
