“Accuride Drives European Manufacturing Forward”
Accuride is front-and-center in the September edition of Industry Europe, one of Europe’s leading trade publications.
In an article titled "Sliding into the Future," Accuride Europe’s sales director, Jim Armstrong, explains how Accuride is leveraging its rich past and substantial resources to propel manufacturing forward.
Among those resources are over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space in facilities spanning the globe. “Each facility supplies its own markets so that we are always close to the customer,” Armstrong explains. “We work closely with our customers to develop practical and cost-effective solutions. Whether it’s a single component or an entire assembly, we have the resources to make it happen.”
The article is more than just a typical overview of a company. The focus is on the company’s work with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of domestic appliances. Accuride is a trusted supplier of movement solutions for such “white goods” OEMs as Electrolux, Miele, and Whirlpool.
Accuride’s ability to develop dependable, moisture-resistant, and mass-produced custom solutions is instrumental. “We manufacture to customer specific requirements,” Armstrong points out. “Each slide is tailor-made to suit their units. Quality is a huge factor underpinning our success. Our products are tried and tested to the most stringent of requirements, reflecting customers’ involvement and input in the product design stage.”
Accuride’s recently released pyrolytic slidesare an example. These specially engineered telescopic slides can handle the extreme temperatures of self-cleaning ovens without loss of smooth movement.
The article highlights Accuride’s expertise in supplying movement in other industries, such as automotive, aerospace, and healthcare.
The article also shows that Accuride’s rich past doesn’t mean it’s staying idle. “The future will bring more automation in factories and new trends, such as smart appliances,” notes Armstrong. Some of Accuride’s solutions for those markets include theFG115 Friction Guideand the 115RC Linear Track System. Both are low-maintenance, long-lasting, and corrosion-resistant travel systems able to withstand tough conditions.
